Ska Keller is one of the two lead transnational candidates of the European Green Party for the 2019 European Parliament election. Since 2016 she has been the Co-President of the Greens/EFA Group in the European Parliament in which she was elected as a Member in 2009. She ran as a lead candidate also in the 2014 European election. On a national level Keller is part of the German Bündnis 90/Die Grünen party. Her political focus lies on migration and refugee’s rights, International Trade and the EU’s relations to Turkey. Keller has a Master of Arts in Islamic Studies, Turkology, and Jewish Studies from the Free University of Berlin and the Sabancı University of Istanbul.
