Giuseppe Conte, Prime Minister, Italy
Giuseppe Conte has been Prime Minister of Italy since September 2019, heading the coalition government between the Five Star Movement and the Democratic Party. He is an Italian jurist, politician and Professor of private law at the University of Florence and at LUISS University. He has lectured at Sorbonne University, the University of Cambridge and New York University, and sits on the board of trustees of John Cabot University. In 2013 he was elected by the Chamber of Deputies as a member of the Bureau of Administrative Justice, the self-governing body of administrative magistrates. Conte was first appointed Prime Minister in 2018 heading the coalition government between the Five Star Movement and the League. He holds a Law degree from Sapienza University.
