Clément Beaune is Secretary of State for European Affairs, France. He held the position of Special Adviser within the Diplomatic Unit of the Presidency of the Republic (2017 – 2020) and he was Deputy CEO of ADP Management (2016 – 2017). Prior to this, he was European, International and Budgetary Affairs Adviser to the Minister of the Economy, Industry and the Digital Sector (2014-2016). Beaune was also Technical Adviser (budget) to the Prime Minister (2013 – 2014), Deputy Head of the Research and Higher Education Bureau (2011) and Deputy Head of the Finance Acts Bureau (2009). He is a graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) and of the Bruges College of Europe.
