Federica Mogherini

Rector, College of Europe and former EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President, European Commission

Federica Mogherini is Rector of the College of Europe. She also co-chairs the United Nations High Level Panel on Internal Displacement. She served as High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission (2014-2019) where she was responsible for coordinating foreign policy among 28 countries. She was previously Italian Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (2014) and Member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies (2008-2014). In her parliamentary capacity, she was Head of the Italian Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and Vice-President of its Political Committee, member of the Italian Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Secretary of the Defence Committee, and member of the Foreign Affairs Committee.
