Gaby Umbach is Part-time Professor, Director of GlobalStat and H2020 TRIGGER consortium member leading global governance research. She is non-resident Visiting Fellow of the European Parliamentary Research Service, where she previously dealt with research methodologies and strategic academic outreach. She is also Adjunct Professor at the Universities of Cologne, Innsbruck and LUISS Guido Carli/CIFE, Book Review Editor of the Journal of Common Market Studies, Editorial Board member of the International Journal Evaluation and Program Planning and Board member of the Institute for European Politics Berlin. At the EUI, she is also co-principal of the interdisciplinary research cluster ‘Crisis of Expert Knowledge and Authority’. Her research focuses on global governance, indicator-based policy-making, data for politics/policy, measuring as governance technique, and evidence-informed policy-making.
