Research and Teaching Associate, School of Transnational Governance, EUI
Jonas Brendebach is Research and Teaching Associate at the School of Transnational Governance (STG) at EUI. He studied history and German literature at the Humboldt-University in Berlin and holds a PhD in history from the European University Institute. He was Erasmus student at the University of Cambridge during his BA and visiting scholar at Columbia University in New York during his PhD. Following cultural history and global history approaches his research interests centre around 19th and 20th century international politics and the history of international institutions. During a stint as desk officer in the German Federal Foreign Office, he gained practical insights working on transatlantic relations, including security cooperation.
