Chief Economist, Environmental Defense Fund
Suzi Kerr is Chief Economist at Environmental Defense Fund.Her current research work empirically and theoretically investigates the design of domestic ETS and international climate cooperation. She was, until May 2019 a Senior Fellow at Motu Research in New Zealand. In 2018, she was President of the Australasian Agricultural and Resource Economics Society.She has also worked at the University of Maryland, Resources for the Future, and the Joint Center for the Science and Policy of Global Change at MIT. She was a Visiting Professor at the University of the Andes in Colombia in 2014 and at Stanford University in (2009-2010). She has led and co-led several large international projects including the writing of the World Bank and ICAP handbook ‘Emissions Trading in Practice’.
