Philipp Genschel holds a Joint Chair in European Public Policy at the Department of Social and Political Sciences and at the Robert Schuman Centre at the EUI. He is on leave from Jacobs University Bremen and the University of Bremen in Germany. Before joining the EUI, he was the Deputy Director of the Collaborative Research Center on ‘Transformation of the State’ in Bremen and a research fellow of the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne. He has taught at the University of Chicago, the Technische Universität Munchen and Harvard University. His recent publications include Beyond the regulatory polity? The European integration of core state powers, Oxford University Press 2014 and International Organizations as Orchestrators, Cambridge University Press 2015.
