Director, Florence School of Regulation – Climate, Robert Schuman Centre, EUI

Simone Borghesi is Director of Florence School of Regulation (FSR) Climate at the EUI and Full Professor of Economics at the University of Siena. He is Secretary General of the Policy Outreach Committee of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE). He is former President of the Italian Association of Environmental and Resource Economists. He worked at International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Enrico Mattei Foundation (FEEM). He has directed the project LIFE SIDE (Supporting the Implementation and Development of the EU ETS) and coordinated the EUI research unit in the H2020 project INNOPATHS. He currently directs the project LIFE DICET (Deepening International Cooperation on Emissions Trading). He holds a PhD in Economics from the EUI.
