Brigid Laffan, Director and Professor at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies, European University Institute
Brigid Laffan is Director of the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies and the Global Governance Programme at the European University Institute. Previously, she was Professor of European Politics and Vice-President in the School of Politics and International Relations at the University College Dublin. She was the founding director of the Dublin European Institute and is a member of the Royal Irish Academy. Laffan has been awarded several prizes for her research in the field of EU Governance over the years, including the THESEUS Award for outstanding research on European Integration (2012) and the UACES Lifetime Achievement Award (2014).
