Joanna Wawrzyniak, part-time Professor of History of 20th-century Central and Eastern Europe, European University Institute
Joanna Wawrzyniak is part-time Professor of 20th-century Central and Eastern Europe History at the EUI. She received her PhD from the University of Warsaw. She was a visiting fellow at the New School for Social Research, Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies, Imre Kertész Kolleg in Jena and Herder-Institut in Marburg. Her research focuses on social and intellectual history and various uses of the past in Central and Eastern Europe. Currently, she leads a work package on City Museums and Multiple Colonial Pasts of the Horizon2020 ECHOES (European Colonial Heritage Modalities in Entangled Cities) Project.
