Researcher, and Coordinator, Engaged Academics, EUI
Mario Pagano is a Ph.D. Researcher at the European University Institute in EU environmental law. Here in Florence, Mario is studying environmental NGOs’ judicial and extra-judicial pathways to obtain access to justice before the EU judiciary. Meanwhile, he also founded with other researchers the “Engaged Academics” Working Group, a recent project that Mario is currently coordinating. The EA seek to bridge EUI researchers with local civil society and pursue a twofold purpose: making civil society benefit from the EUI young scholars’ competence and expertise; making those same scholars feel useful and part of a broader community.
