Sophie Duroy is a PhD researcher in law and coordinator of the Fundamental Rights Working Group at the European University Institute. Her thesis focuses on state responsibility and accountability for human rights violations resulting from intelligence activities. She is a LL.M. graduate (Cum Laude) in Public International Law from Leiden University and LL.B. graduate (Hons. 1st) in Law & French Law from the University of Essex and University of Paris West.
